IASTI® Engineering Trainer

We are seeking qualified or equivalent work experienced aircraft engineers, ground operations and pilots to join our team of industry Trainers as subject matter experts. We are seeking energetic, dynamic, committed, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, to join the team at our flagship facility based near London City Airport, but also in a growing number of regions throughout the UK. You will be a strong team player who is able to work under your own initiative and successfully manage priorities to deliver results. 


As an IASTI industry Pathway Trainer, you will be based in a school, college or UTC, delivering your industry knowledge to our 16 – 18-year-old learners.  You will be employed by IASTI, benefit from a program of CPD and be integrated into the college teaching staff, operating within defined college processes and procedures.

Job Purpose: 

To prepare, deliver and assess on the IASTI® programmes


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To ensure the interests of IASTI® are always maintained

  2. To ensure that the IASTI industry led Pathways are delivered and integrated within the educational system

  3. To maintain awareness of latest industry practices, technology and news to enhance learner teaching. 

  4. To co-ordinate the course management and industry engagement and co-delivery. 

  5. To contribute to the selection, recruitment, and enrolment of learners, including attendance at scheduled Industry events.

  6. To maintain professional standards and expertise by undertaking relevant Industry continuous professional development

  7. To conform with the Health and Safety requirements relevant to the post. 

  8. To contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of new material, and enhance existing material to ensure industry relevance. 

  9. To work as a member of a flexible delivery team within IASTI®. 

  10. To liaise with industry and educational awarding organisations and external examiners/verifiers. 

  11. To be an inspiring trainer, enthusiastic with the ability to motivate learners and a willingness and ability to tackle poor learner performance and the ability to respond to individual learning needs

  12. Ability to prioritise, handle interruptions, and manage competing priorities to successfully meet weekly goals.

  13. The ability to work in a non-discriminatory manner

  14. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage the classroom with influence and not authority

  15. An understanding of and commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity

  16. The ability and willingness to undertake relevant staff development
