IASTI® LONDON CITY AWARD THE 2021 COHORT THEIR PINS, RECOGNISING INCREDIBLE PROGRESS AFTER SUCCESSFUL FIRST TERM
Ceremony Sees Industry Global Partners Embraer and Boeing Present the 50 Learners With Their ‘Class of 2021’ Pins
IASTI®’s London City Class of 2021 today marked the beginning of a new term in style with a ceremony which saw them presented with their pins in the presence of industry aviation giants Boeing and Embraer.
The presentation celebrated the remarkable progress made by each student since they commenced their training in the autumn of 2021 and is a significant milestone in their aviation educational journey. The students, aged between 16 and 18, were awarded their certificates and pins by Managing Director Ian Peart, following congratulatory messages from Simon Witts, CEO and Founder of IASTI® and two of the biggest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
Speaking to the students from São José dos Campos, Embraer’s Head of Flight Operations & Training, Ayslan Anholon said: “Embraer is very pleased to be a part of the pioneering work you are undertaking. As the first IASTI cohort, the training you are receiving is world-class and will prepare you for a career in the world’s most exciting industry. On behalf of all of us in Brazil, I congratulate you all for the work you have so far completed and look forward to being part of your continuing journey.”
Also present at the ceremony was IASTI®’s Stakeholder Board Chair, Boeing’s Head of Global Accelerators and Innovation Programs, Nichola Bates, who added: “Air and space needs the best and brightest young people to be a part of our industry’s sustainable future, so I am absolutely delighted to see the progress you have all made so far. Boeing is proud to be leading the industry partners on the IASTI® Stakeholder Board and we are committed to helping you all grow as aviation professionals.”
IASTI®’s Manging Director, Ian Peart, also praised the work of the young learners, saying: “IASTI® is unique in the world of aviation training - we work with the industry, not separate from it - and having the support of Boeing and Embraer means our students have the very best foundations for a future career in the sector. Hand-in-hand with our partners at the UTC here in Newham and the University of East London, our first cohort at London City are leading the way and I could not be prouder of them and our trainers.”
